Viral Marketing has been a buzz word for a year or more and has taken on more than a few meanings.  So to clear up any confusion on what I am referring to, here is the definition I use. In a nutshell, viral marketing means “establishing a highly relevant ad campaign with a broad market reach that encourages individuals to continue the campaign’s distribution”.
An Example: We create a one-page website (or landing page) that delivers a funny, short and exclusive video advertises your product. Once the website is established, we begin driving traffic to the website through online newsletters, blogs, and social networks. The idea is that as traffic hits the video, the users begin sending the link to their friends who then repeat the process.
Since we don’t have to worry about buying a lot of advertising, a viral campaign can be established on a tight budget.  It is a great way to increase awareness of a product, improve brand recognition, or do market testing.  Odds are you’ve been part of a viral campaign - you may not have even noticed.
Social networks have opened new doors to viral marketers.  Websites like MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, and others make the release of a campaign extremely easy. Creating viral marketers out of your customers is a proven way to increase sales, keep costs down, and improve customer loyalty.  We can help every step of the way with the creative, concepts, implementation, and tracking.
